CFP - ACQS Biennial Conference - New Orleans, Nov 1-4, 2018

The American Council for Québec Studies invites proposals for papers and panels for our upcoming conference in November 2018. If the conference theme is open to a wide range of approaches across the Social Sciences and Humanities, our hope is to underscore the multiplicities of the relations that mark, form, and enrich the French and Francophone Americas. We are particularly pleased to host our convention in the city of New Orleans as it celebrates its 300th anniversary as a site of crossroads that are witness to multiple transformations, transfers, and identifications. We welcome and will consider proposals related to any aspect of Québec studies.

Submissions of both individual papers and complete panels are encouraged. Please consult our website (www.acqs.org) for more details on the conference as well as on the mini-colloquium focused on Francophone Louisiana’s International Relations to be held within it. To submit an abstract: All submissions (abstracts of +/-250 words) are made via the ACQS website and https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/244/submission. Conference presentations can be made in French or English. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is April 1st, 2018
