Smith Award for the outstanding article in The American Review of Canadian Studies is awarded to Adam Chapnick, “The Gray Lecture and Canadian Citizenship in History,” ARCS, Vol. 37.4, Winter 2007, and David Eric Jessup, “J. E. Bernier and the Assertion of Canadian Sovereignty in the Arctic,” ARCS, Vol. 38.4, Winter 2008.
2007
The recipient of the 2007 Rufus Z. Smith Prize for the outstanding article in The American Review of Canadian Studies was awarded to Mary Lynn Young, University of British Columbia and David Pritchard, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for their co-authored article "Cross-Border Crime Stories: American Media, Canadian Law, and Murder in the Internet Age" (Volume 36, Number Three, Fall 2006).
