Martin Lubin Award

The Martin Lubin Undergraduate Award in the Social Sciences

The Marty Lubin Undergraduate Award in the Social Sciences was created  in honor of the late Martin Lubin, Professor at SUNY Plattsburgh, who passed away in September 2-11. Originally from Montreal, he had played  a key role in the Canadian Studies program at SUNY Plattsburgh for many years. His main research focus was on Quebec politics and society.

In 1999, he was awarded the Prix du Quebec from the Government of Quebec in recognition of his "outstanding contributions to Quebec Studies in the United States."

2013 - The First recipient was Nicholas Van Tulder, University of Washington, for his research paper "Le Quebec Total: Creating a Unifying Vision for Northern Development (Un Plan Pour Tous)".
