Enders/ACSUS 50 Research Award Announcement

The Association for Canadian Studies in the United States is pleased to announce Professor Claire Campbell of Bucknell University as the inaugural winner of the biennial Enders / ACSUS 50 Research Award.

This prestigious award, made possible with the generous support of the Thomas O. Enders Endowment and in honor of the 50th anniversary of ACSUS, supports a U.S.-based scholar whose current research or creative project promises to make a significant contribution to the field of Canadian Studies.

While the Awards Committee found all applications particularly strong, Professor Campbell’s project, titled “Cities by the Sea: Urban Coastlines in Atlantic Canadawas most compelling. Committee members wrote that this project shows tremendous clarity and organization, with clear reasonable goals and learning outcomes. It will add a new dimension to the literature on Anthropocene and make a much-needed contribution to the discussion on climate change. ACSUS is proud to support this important research and we look forward to following Professor Campbell’s success.
