International Council for Canadian Studies Awards Reception - June 11, 2016

Two ACSUS nominees were successful in this year's ICCS awards competition.  First, Myrna Delson-Karan was given an ICCS Certificate of Merit in recognition of her many distinguished contributions to the Canadian and Quebec Studies communities over the years.  In addition, the Pierre Savard Award for the best book published in English of French went to ACSUS nominee Elizabeth Goodyear-Grant of Queen's University, Kingston, ON, for her UBC Press book entited Gendered News: Media Coverage and Electoral Politics in Canada (2014).  ACSUS President Munroe Eagles was on hand to make these presentations on behalf of ICCS.  Additionally, long-time friend of ACSUS Alain-G. Gagnon was presented with the ICCS Governor-General's Award for Canadian Studies.  Pictures of the award winners from the awards reception can be found in the attached document.
